Job Title 1st Shift Machine Operator (Forging Operator)

Job Location Carol Stream, IL

Job Shift Monday to Friday / 7:00AM-3:30PM some weekends and OT is mandatory.

Pay Rate $18.00 per hour.

Job Type Temp to Hire

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in a two-to-three-person team to forge and trim parts for use in automobile hub bearing units

Reads job instructions to produce specified values including basic mathematical calculations.

Operates and adjusts forge press according to guidelines and in a safe manner.

Sets up and uses machine interfaces to operate a forging press, trimming press, electric billet furnace and billet hopper.

Performs tooling changes of forging and trimming presses.

Checks and maintains fluid levels of line equipment.

Performs daily PM s and 5S of forging line equipment and the line area.

Accurately completes quality and production control documents.

Reads tooling and part blueprints.

Uses gauges to accurately measure and verify proper part dimensions.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience in a manufacturing environment and mechanically inclined.

Metal stamping experience a plus

Knowledge of basic machine operation / controls

Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment.

Ability to trouble shoot processes and line equipment.

Capable of working with high heat and wearing PPE

Physically fit / capable of lifting up to 75lbs.

This position requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking for an entire eight-to-twelve-hour shift.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Job Requirements:

o Must be eligible to work in the US, pass E-Verify

o Must be willing to submit to background check- county.

o Must be willing to submit to a 5- panel drug screen.

o Mechanical aptitude is a must.

o Ability to work in a fast paced and hot environment.

o Bi-Lingual English & Spanish a plus but not required.
