Job Position: CNC Machinist

Location: Clearwater, FL 33755

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr

Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Description:

- Operate and run CNC lathes, including Okuma lathes with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders, to produce simple parts from materials such as aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel.

- Perform in-process inspections using tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.

- Adjust offsets and make program modifications as necessary to maintain accuracy and tolerances during production.

- Read and interpret blueprints to accurately execute part specifications.

- Ensure proper machine setup and troubleshoot issues as needed to maintain smooth operations.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Proven experience operating CNC lathes, preferably with Okuma lathes or similar equipment.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

- Strong knowledge of in-process inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.

- Ability to make adjustments to offsets and modify programs to maintain tolerances.

- Familiarity with machining aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

- Availability to work the assigned shift: 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
