Job Position: AMPP CIP Level 1 Coating Inspector

Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00 an hour

Description:

Qualified AMPP (formerly NACE) CIP Level 1 Coating Inspector, this role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of surface preparation and coating applications according to industry standards and project specifications.

• Inspection and Quality Control:

  • Perform inspections on surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and project specifications.

  • Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Interpret project specifications, drawings, and coating procedures.

  • Monitor environmental conditions to ensure proper application and curing of coatings.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, applicators, and quality assurance teams to maintain project timelines and quality.

  • Communicate inspection findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions as needed.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.

  • Ensure coatings are applied in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• AMPP/NACE CIP Level 1 Certification (required).

• 1+ years of experience in industrial coating inspection or related field (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation techniques, and industry standards (e.g., SSPC, ISO).

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.

Work Environment:
This role involves working in an industrial paint shop environment with exposure to paint, chemicals, and surface preparation equipment. Appropriate safety equipment and training will be provided
