Description: Our Converting Machine Operator sets up and operates a machine to combine aluminum foil and kraft paper to form multi-layer reflective insulation for use in residential and commercial buildings. Requires positioning rolls of kraft paper and aluminum foil on the unwinder using hydraulic hoist, threading paper and foil through feed rollers, glue applicators, tension and rewind rollers. Daily repetitive functions include filling glue reservoirs, starting machine, adjusting paper and foil alignment, roll tension, machine speed and glue temperature. Quality inspections and preventative maintenance is performed throughout the shift; ideal candidates are detail-orientated, analytical, mechanically and technically inclined. Successful operators will demonstrate the ability to lift 75 lbs. and can stand on concrete floor in an open-air production warehouse. Maintain clean and organized workstation.
Load bulk rolls of paper and aluminum into unwinder
Pack small rolls of Reflective Insulation onto pallets
Inspect products and record quality observations.
Complete daily production, receipts, and shipping records
Perform minor machine repairs.
Requirements:
Able to stand during entire shift and wear appropriate PPE
Ability to lift weights of 60 lb. safely.
Written and verbal communication, and mathematics
Pass fork truck safety training.
High School Diploma/GED.
Valid Driver s License required, CDL preferred.
Drug and physical screening pre-employment
