Job Location Carol Stream, IL
Job Shift 6:00am 4-4:30pm M-Th; Friday 1/2 day OT as needed; usually 40 hours. OT as needed.
Pay Rate $18.00 p/hour

The Metal Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication of metal products using a variety of equipment in order to
meet customers requirements. Metal Fabricator is expected to work well with all coworkers in a team environment
while responsibly practicing safety precautions and excellent housekeeping.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Cut aluminum and stainless steel material to customer specifications using a range of equipment (shearing,
radius, hole press, bending, sanding)
Reads and interprets customer specifications (drawings/prints)
Ensures proper cleanliness of the overall work area
Adheres by all safety rules including keeping a neat and tidy workspace, wearing appropriate clothing and
footwear to walk the plant floor and stand for prolonged periods of time
Proactively communicates any issues or concerns with urgency
Take direction from and reports directly to their direct supervisor, Post-Production Supervisor
Manually moving material by hand or cart from one department to another, as well as to and from
workstation
Occasional use of keyboard to enter data
Works cooperatively with all employees

Education & Experience:
English Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient in comprehending, speaking and reading English (as first or second language)
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals
Ability to convert metric to imperial (standard) and vice versa
Ability to read, write short correspondence, and interpret customers requirements
Willingness to train on equipment necessary to fulfill job requirements
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team
Extraordinary organizational and housekeeping skills
