Job Title 1st Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Location Bartlett, IL

Job Shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday through Friday and half day Saturdays)

Pay Rate +$22.00 per hour (or more depending on experience negotiable)

Job Purpose: Supports all areas of operation providing preventative building and equipment maintenance while demonstrating safety, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Functions:

1. Ability to work weekends and overtime when necessary. 2. Execute preventative maintenance tasks on company equipment. 3. Perform routine maintenance around the building. 4. Perform monthly hazardous communication audits. 5. Execute timely hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machine repairs. 6. Repair molding machine and auxiliary water lines as needed. 7. Occasionally repair low voltage electrical issues. 8. Audit the scissor lift and forklift battery water levels weekly. 9. Maintain dumpster area clear of debris. 10. Inspect the catch basin on the storm drain and replace it as needed. 11. Address potential safety hazards.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Support, comply and ensure complicity of: a. All company policies, procedures, and requirements b. Health and Safety regulations c. Quality Management Standards (IATF 16949:2016) d. Environmental Management Standards (ISO 14001:2015) 2. Periodically perform janitorial duties maintaining efficient housekeeping. 3. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Competencies

1. Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and policies. 2. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. 3. Maintenance aptitude applicable to mechanical and electrical principles in various troubleshooting and repair activities. 4. Demonstrate understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electric, or mechanical systems. 5. Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. 6. Demonstrate knowledge to safely operate cranes, hoists, lifts, forklifts, power tools and hand tools. 7. Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry and/or pull up to 50lbs. for an extended period of time. 8. High school graduate/General Education Degree, or 5 years of equivalent work-related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred. Reports To: Maintenance Manage
